That's awful! He's one of the greatest closers in the history of baseball. I wonder if that will be it for his career.

That looked way more severe than just a twisted knee. I have seen guys twist their knees and they can hobble around a bit, Rivera had to be carted off.

With a torn ACL for Rivera, I'm curious how the Yankees are going to handle the bullpen.

Well, the Red Sox have already scooped up Mark Prior, so that's one option out the window.

Edit: Perhaps the Yankees would be interested in Ohman.

I don't know. As closers work with a lead, he's likely to set a blown saves record by the AS Break.

Well, the Yankees have a pretty effective setup guy with David Robertson who could become a closer. They also have Rafael Soriano who has had some success as a closer in the division.

I wonder if these storms are actually George Steinbrenner throwing a tantrum within the cosmos.

I don't think you'll see too many stud pitchers catching flies in the OF now.

I don't think they notice flyover country storms back east in Boston and New York. Only when they get storms, then it's STORM OF THE CENTURY there.

And Jim Cantore has to be there. If a storm were to come, George would fire Mother Nature.

He's the best, in my mind. Better than Smith, Eckersley, and Hoffman.

This guy did it for 15 years with one pitch.
