I know baseball teams don't really put initials on the back of uniforms anymore, but I kind of want to see the two first names on their backs when they're both up here.

They'll have to go to the third letter in their names, Joh. and Jor. or something like that.

I thought that initially, but since it's only one letter off of John's name, I figured "what the hell? Go all the way."

The Bears went full names with Tom and Tony Carter, even though they could have just gone Tom and Ton. Carter.

That said, I have a feeling they'll both just say Danks.

I'd like to see them go with first name over the last name a la Jack/Jim Youngblood when they both played on the Rams.

True. Even then it's still quite a few letters shorter than Saltalamacchia.

Even Isiah Thomas had that at one time.

I believe this is how they handled it in Spring Training.

I don't think spring jerseys have names on them.

How about this? John wears 50, and Jordan wears a different number.

Maybe we'll just worry about it further if Jor-Danks sticks around for awhile...... Unless of course in a play-by-play we hear:

'Fly ball to center, Danks comes in, makes the catch, runner at third tags, here's the throw, cut off by Danks, Danks throws to second, over the head of Ramirez into CF, Danks gets the ball, throws to third, gets by Hudson, but backed up by Danks to avoid further damage.....'

Ugh... never mind....

Mark Gonzales
Jordan Danks will wear No. 20, Fukudome on DL, retroactive to Monday

Scott Merkin
Jordan Danks is considered the best defensive outfielder in the organization, not just Minors. Teammates raved about his defense.

Daryl Van Schouwen
.302 average is 40 points higher than his five-year career mark. His .934 OPS ranks seventh in the International League.
