Default Close Enough to July ALC Watch Thread

Kittens already lost Toons are down to their final out in Baltimore losing 9-7 with a man on second.

At what point do we stop being "Close Enough" to June and start actually being in June?

LOL when I came back I noticed my mistake. I knew there would be at least one smartass reply when I saw people had already posted.

It's about time to score-board watch the Royals as closely as the Tribe and Tigers.

I still think Detroit is the team to beat. Cle's starting pitching is lousy and KC is KC., despite their improvement. Two-team race by Labor Day.

The one thing that scares me now is Ilitich's money and his willingness to spend it. They dont have the pitching but they sure could get some real quick. I am hoping the Sox can send the yanks on a real tail spin, this would give the tigers competition for the available pitching.

The Yanks are already going to look for pitching, no matter what. Pettitte's going to be out until around September, and C.C.'s out too.

The Tigers will have competition, mark it down.

The Yanks GM,Cashen, says they are going to sit pat for the time being, but I suspect that if the Sox can hammer them a couple more times, he might start looking.

Dempster,Garza,Greinke and Vargas seem to be the guys I hear about most,so there will be enough to go around.

The Tribe has worse attendance than the Sox so I doubt they will make any moves.

KC is coming on...not good,as the Sox play them a bunch the next two months.

If the Sox can get to the All Star break still hot,it might start to discourage some teams from buying...altho Ilitch has too much money invested to give up.

I agree that for this year Detroit is the team to watch out for because Cleveland just doesn't seem to be that good but I could see KC coming in a relatively close third and causing problems down the stretch.

We have a steady diet of Royals, Twins and Tigers after the break. We effectively control our own destiny.
