Will this award increase his trade value this off season?

Congrats
Dunn is the fifth White Sox player to be named AL Comeback Player of the Year by The Sporting News, joining Thome (2006), Paul Konerko (2004), Frank Thomas (2000) and Bo Jackson (1993). White Sox Press Release http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news...4979-434547720 |

It was a heck of a turnaround season for Dunn regardless of what the cynical crowd here is chirping about. 41HRs, 96RBI, and 105 walks is really solid left handed power production which is exactly what the guy was signed to do. If it wasn't for that tweaked oblique that messed him up in September, I really think he would have probably finished close to 50 HRs.

Dunn emphasized being more aggressive early in counts for 2013, but not narrow it to one pitch, one location Dunn on 2012 - definitely a disappointing season because we didn't reach our goal. Dunn said mom, dad, wife and son enjoyed 2012 more than him. does feel appreciative of award Dunn on Peavy: "what I do know is that he wants to stay with us.'' |

Congrats,Adam. The HR's,RBIs and walks were great. But,IMO,your teammate Alex Rios deserved this award more.As a Sox fan,
I'd like to see that average go up just a bit in 2013.I'd also like to see (and hear) less of "Swiiiiiiing and a miss" when you take an AB. Congrats on the award, but continue to be "just a little bit better" in 2013.

Congrats to Dunn, but Rios should have won.

I think the 41 long flys had alot to do with this. Alex had a better all around season. Would have been great if either had won.

So Fernando Rodney won the MLB award last week and Dunn get Sporting News version this week. Is one of them more prestigious than the other? I guess I just thought there was only one Comeback Player of the Year awarded.
I agree with most of the early sentiment here the Rios should have won both incarnations. |

I'm with you on Rios, but what about Peavy? Solid year first full season after groundbreaking surgery. Much more deserving candidate than a .204 hitter with a league leading 222 strikeouts.

Congrats, Adam. You said in spring 2012 that this was your goal, and you achieved it. Not everyone can pull that off. Good work, and keep it up.
