Got him in the side of the head and he walked off, but wow...

The way he kind of flopped around on the ground for a moment was pretty scary, but I'm glad to see that he never lost consciousness and that he's OK.

That sound of it hitting him - ugh. Reminds me of Marlon Byrd getting hit at Fenway. Not a sound you want to hear.

That was horrifying to see. Glad that he was able to get up from that.

He has had a cloud over him since the day he left here. Probably could use a little good luck.

Wow, so glad to see him walk off of the field. I pray he is okay with no complications.

Buehrle would have caught it and turned a triple play. Even if there were no runners on base.

Jeff Passan @JeffPassan A's pitcher Brandon McCarthy underwent a two-hour surgery last night for epidural hemorrhage, brain contusion and skull fracture, team says.
When he walked off I had no idea he would be undergoing surgery that night. Scary stuff and I hope he's okay.

Brandon McCarthy had two-hour surgery to relieve epidural hemorrhage, brain contusion and skull fracture. He is alert, resting comfortably. |

Wow. Glad to hear those words from Billy Beane. Hopefully that means he'll have a safe, speedy recovery.
I always really liked McCarthy when he was with the Sox.

Just read about this, how awful.
Thank God doctors did the right thing to cut him open. Too many times people walk away from head injuries to later have regret. |

Wow, I hope he recovers quickly. That was nasty.
Weird how that trade has come full circle and now BMac (yes I said it), is the guy you'd rather have now that the contract Danks has is absurd. |
