Default RA Dickey to the Blue Jays

Mets agreed to send RA Dickey and Josh Thole to the Blue Jays in exchange for Travis d'Naurd, John Buck and a minor league pitcher. The Blue Jays do have a 72 hour window to try and extend Dickey.

I thought D'Arnaud was their franchise player?

I guess that means they're sticking with Arencibia.

Extension reportedly signed.

Wow. Last years' Toronto 1-2 is now their 4-5. They've gotta be feeling pretty good that Ricky Romero, just one year removed from a great season, is their #5.

And he probably could've held out for more than $25 million over 2 years.

Seems like the rare win/win trade. Really like the Jays going for it and that is a huge return on a real wild card for the Mets.

Heyman tweeted that Dickey has a 1 something ERA indoors, specifically in the Tropicana Dome. Also the Rogers Centre has a retractable roof so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I remember Dickey being pretty terrible with Minnesota, hard to believe how he's turned his career around.

And he's going to be 38 this year? Wow, one of the wilder roller coasters of a career.

Knuckleballers are usually late-bloomers.
