Default Opening Day Time of 3:10pm?
Anyone know why the Sox changed the Opening Day time by moving it back two hours? It seems like whenever they've opened at home on a weekday afternoon, it's been a 1:05 start in the past.

Not sure. TV, maybe? I like it, though. Means I can actually watch/listen to most of it.

Really hate the when the Sox play the Royals it is blacked out where I am at. Hoping that the Royals broadcast will be on tv.

Royals should not be blacked out in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. 5 hours away!

I'm glad they did. Sadly, we may need the Tampa Bay rule. No more/limited day games.

Actually, IIRC, the 2003 opener was like a 3 p.m. start time and it was on a weekday (I want to say a Monday or Friday).

It's also nice for those who only need to take a half day off at work instead of a full day. I'm happy about the 3:00 start.

Me too. Though it could be pretty chilly out there by the 7th inning.
