Great news, but not effective until after this season? What, this pompous ass needs a farewell tour all over MLB all summer? Seriously nauseating.

Another year of watching with the sound down whenever the game is on Fox.

What this retirement means is, that he will no longer work as a broadcaster.

I say replace him with Al Leiter. Love the Springsteen references.

For some reason I suspect Fox is going to hire Joe Morgan.

I hope not. He's not much better, although I wouldn't mind terribly if he were teamed with Jon Miller again. They worked well together on Sunday Night Baseball for so many seasons, and would be a nice facelift to the awful broadcasting of Fox.
