Default Buerhle

Watching the Rays and Jays, Mark just rocked for 7 runs in the 3rd. His ERA is now 7.58, ouch.

Unlike all the other busted ass moves Kenny made before promoting himself, this is a good one he avoided.

That's because he only made one start agains the Sox. Have him make a few more and that ERA drops to 4.

I feel his numbers would of benefited from being in the NL more than others.

Buehrle's also benefitted greatly from pitching in pitcher's parks. I know Sox Park gets a rep as a hitter's park because of the short fences, but it's only a HR hitter's park. Otherwise, the small OF and clean lines depress BA and SLG which is especially good for a guy who pitches to contact.

Not sure how Marlins Park plays yet, but it appears to be pro-pitcher, as well.

Guy's been on the decline for several years and seems to be struggling to adjust to the much tougher AL East. He'll turn it around and have some success, but yeah, time's running out on Buehrle. Gonna have to get me one of those sweet Blue Jay uniforms with his name on it, though. So that's something.

Good news for MB is he didn't get a loss as the Jays came back and beat the Rays.

Another thing I wonder about is whether Buehrle's head is in the right place this season. He is living away from his family for the first time due to the pitbull ban in Ontario. Mark's family is living in St Charles with their kids and dogs while he is playing out the season in Toronto.

He knew that was a possibility.

He is due $39 million combined in 2014 and 2015. Toronto would have to eat at least 50%, maybe even 75%, to get rid of him.

What's your point? He does not have a No Trade Clause and he was not a 5/10 player with the Marlins. In other words, he had no say in to where he would be traded by the Marlins.

I wonder if the Jays would do this:

Adam Dunn for Mark Buerhle and Rajai Davis

A change of scenery trade, if you will. What do you all thnk?

I would make that trade with Toronto in a heartbeat. Then again I would trade Adam Done to any team that simply wanted him for nothing. As long as they pick up his contract, they can have him.

Yep, I'd trade Adam Dunn for a bag of Cheetos.

Send him to Aubu Dabi. They already turned down Kendrick Perkins, but I suspect they'll enjoy having Dunn in their midst. We will, of course, have to allow Nermal back into the country, but only temporarily, as Garfield has been made aware of the situation.
