Sure why not, hes a Fa after this year and doesnt fit in twins plans for next year. Im sure they tried to trade him at the deadline with no takers. He makes 14M this year so teams may still be leery to pay a month and half of his salary. Teams disguise this as an opportunity for the player to play for a contender but if they dont eat salary, its just an opportunity to dump salary.

I'd be surprised if he clears. Might make sense for Texas or Baltimore, or another team looking for an impact bat down the stretch.
