There was a rumor the Yankees were interested in Konerko. Maybe this makes them more interested?

Maybe. I can just see the tabloid headlines now. Someone like Konerko could go hog-wild in New York with the number of microphones being thrust into his face every day.

Until he says "Royce Clayton is the best shortstop I've ever played with."

Default Wishful Thinking?

With Teixeira being out for the rest of the 2013 season, is it possible that the Yankees might want Adam Dunn? If they want him, they can have him as far as I'm concerned. Even if they give us a prospect and as long as they pick up his contract, they can keep him.

Golden Sox

That would explain why Dunn has been playing 1st base soo much. The Sox are showcasing his defensive skills.

Whenever I think about that, I can't believe someone didn't remind him he played with Barry Larkin.

Konerko played four games where Larkin was the shortstop and in one of those games Larkin was lifted after a few innings. When Konerko played for the Reds he was primarily a third baseman and a left fielder.

and Juan Uribe. Admittedly his defensive range wasn't exactly profundo.

I think I'd rather see Dunn hit .260/.400/.550 for the Yankees than .187/.313/.400 for the White Sox.
