Default Some questions on PK

Do you think he retires and has told the Sox his plans?
If he doesn't retire will the Sox re- sign him?
Will anyone else sign him?

I bring these up because Paulie is one of JRs favorites but I can't see the Sox bringing him back so I thought there might have been some kind of PK appreciation day, but not a word unless the plans are to bring him back next year. All very puzzling.

If he has told the Sox that he is retiring, I am sure the Sox would like him to make it public. It would be a great way to sell some tickets this year.

He might fade into oblivion a la Dye and Thome; not officially announcing retirement but not playing either.

Unfortunately, this is what I expect to happen.

I'd be shocked by this. He'll either announce retirement or play. I'm guessing he'll wait til next season and listen to his body. If his wrist and hip feel good, I'd expect him to be back.

My guess is that he wants to return to play, but no MLB teams will suffice. That's why I thought the Dye and Thome analogies fit well.
