That had to be a sweet win for those Sox fans left in attendance with all of the (loud obnoxious) Yankee fans in the ballpark

Gordon Beckham is becoming a good baseball player.

We're a terrible team but that was a great win. Good series.

I was in the car on the way home when Cano hit the homer. I pulled up just as the bottom of the inning was starting, and by the time I had the computer fired up to see what happened, De Aza was coming up. Bam. Crazy. Never would have predicted that.

This team really has some potential. With just a little tweaking, this could be a good team next year.

Been a bad year but sweeping the Yankees takes the sting off it for a short time anyhow.

This team is horrible. Can't even let us enjoy one last Mariano save at the Cell.

Not even sure why I turned the game on in the 7th. Glad I did. Good for them and nice to see some happy faces on the field for a change. Two out, no one on rallies twice. Fun!

Well, that was fun! Let's count the wonders we've seen lately:

1) A veritable winning streak
2) Beating the Yankees
3) A come from behind blown save for Mariano Rivera
4) With two outs
5) Another come from behind, now a victory
6) AGAIN, all coming with two outs
7) SWEEPING the Yankees

The only downer, once again seeing Axlerod serve up a tater to the first batter he faces.

I have to say, horrendous baserunning aside, I'm surprised I haven't heard much of anything in terms of teams interested in De Aza.

Given his contract status though, I doubt the Sox will put him on waivers. Unlike Rios, a team will certainly claim him.

Watching the replay on AT BAT ....Alexei actually slid into home headfirst on that final play? Ugh. There wasnt even a relay throw.

Oddly enough, I read on twitter earlier (from a couple Sox beat writers) that with tonight's win this is the first time in 100 years the Sox have swept the Yankees in consecutive series (of 3+ games each).
