Default Do you think there will be another big signing this off-season?

Title says it all. Do you think Abreu was it, or do you think Hahn has something else up his sleeve?

Define "big." I can see something like Michael Young and Ruiz or a reasonable facsimile, and while that would be rather large for our team - I see no big splash signings coming.

There will be some more moves, another signing and some trades.
Upgrades at LF, CF, 3B and Catching are needed.

I think no. Hahn will conserve his money and try to spend it wisely. He may trade away veterans for younger players or near-ready prospects.

A big signing implies a big salary, and that's what he's trying to get the team away from.

I just hope he is shrewd. Don't go trading Jones for Edwin Jackson.

I was hoping he'd trade Sale for Jackson myself. Get that veteran presence.

This team isn't one big signing away from being a winning team. Hahn should stay put and continue to rebuild.

I don't think we are in a position to go after any more premium FA's. I think there will be a few trades made, that will mostly be low-risk/ buy-low deals (e.g. Simon Castro for someone else's failed prospect).

Young on a 1 year deal makes sense. Gives you a chance to be competitive if everything works out right. If not, trade him to a contender at the deadline.

Agree with Nellie. There are several holes to be filled. The likelihood of signing an FA to a monster deal to fill one of those holes is rather slim.

Considering the "Dunn Debacle", I think this organization under Hahn id going to try to grow and harvest whatever is down on the farm. If they do go out and get somebody,it will probably be a mid level signing over a couple of years..

I doubt it. If they're reshaping, nothing more than an average player will be brought in. Plus, they don't have quite enough cash. Save it for when you're ready to win again.

Big... no. But I guess that depends on your definition of big. I don't see any 100 mil signings on the horizon. The guys out there that will potentially command that kind of money are just too old and expensive for that kind of move to make sense for this team and it's future.

We pretty much had to go hard after Abreu, given what we've got lined up at 1B in the minors and the lack of other options in free agency. There's always all kinds of potential moves to be made via trade, and I have no idea what could happen on that front. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised.
