Will it lower his ERA?

It might. Should relieve some of the stress on his "pitching elbow."

It will also cut down his ability to go out and party the night before he starts. Mr. Danks "Hun an I go out with the guys tonight" Mrs. Danks "Cold stare" Mr. Danks "Yes dear I will stay home and watch TV with you. Love you."

Worst contract extension in Sox history.

Congrats on the Wedding.

Danks pitched well at times in 2013. But he was inconsistent and his inconsistency could be attributed to his recovery from surgery. And full recovery from that surgery usually doesn't come until two years after the surgery.

So, I am bullish on Danks for 2014. If the Sox can make a few more of the right moves, they could contend next year.

It'll go well for a couple years, but then he'll fizzle out and the people that post on his marriage message board will get real sour.

John, Congrats on your Marriage. Always remember, a man must have 2 things in life. He must be in love with his work and he must be in love with his wife. If he has those two things he will always be happy. If he doesn't have those two things, he will never be happy.

You keep telling us in every thread that mentions marriage, so I don't think we'll have trouble remembering.

Criminally underrated post.

Some people just can't stop themselves.

Next week, someone will start a thread "Beckham helps an old lady cross a busy street" and we'll hear all about how he is a bust at The Plate.

I really hope it crossed his mind as he was saying "I do" to also think to himself "damn I'm stealing money from the White Sox."
