Default Now pitching for Boston: Mike Carp

Failed Seattle Mariners prospect and now backup-1B for the Red Sox Mike Carp just threw an inning of relief at Fenway. He allegedly was throwing a 68mph knuckleball and an 81mph changeup. He walked 5 guys, but induced a double play and a foul out so only one man scored.

I think we've had it up to the gills with these fish puns.

Maybe we should reel it in, as it's time to fish or cut bait.

This reminds me of a very lengthy at-bat in 2002 or 2003, where Tim Salmon took over 10 pitches from Jon Garland, and Ed Farmer and John Rooney had AMPLE, AMPLE opportunity to make fish puns.
