Default Carlos Gomez

Looks like Hawk was right about this one...he is off to a roaring start. Glad that he is out of the division.

As a Twin, I hated the guy, but now .... I don't really care anymore. I hope he sticks it to the cubbies every chance he gets.

His numbers were really good last year too. Looks like he finally put that skill set to good use. However, he is still one of the most abrasive players in baseball.

Agreed, some think its flamboyance but if he's not on your team it comes off as doucheness.

Nice to see that he has become a consistent power hitter- something that he was.not in Minnesota. I always thought it was a big mistake for the Twins to trade him. The've been looking for a center fielder ever since.

They won't be once Buxton comes up.

Twins fans certainly believe that's the case. I saw Buxton play last year in Cedar Rapids and he certainly has all the tools. People are already comparing him to a young Kirby Puckett or Tori Hunter.

Carlos Gomez is a straight up PUNK.
Atlanta: I guess he had a beef with Maholm about a precious incident where he was hit in the knee. When McCann confronts him at home plate, Gomez makes sure he has guys in between him then starts jawing.
When someone came near him, he whirls around to find a teammate to hold him back then jaws some more.

Pittsburgh: earlier in the week, Gomez hits a bomb and really pours on the showboating. Of course he mouths off.
Today, he sits and watches another bomb, which caroms off the top of the fence for a triple. Gerrit Cole gives Gomez a piece of his mind.
Gomez starts with the helmet throw and a punch.
Uh oh...it's time to find teammates to stand behind. This time Travis Snyder lays him out before he had a chance to run away.

The guy is talented, but a 150% jackass.

Video of today's brawl:

Gomez is a straight up jackass, but hard to fault him for this as Cole should shut his ****ing mouth. Don't want to watch a guy admire his moonshot? Don't throw up meatballs.

I hate Carlos Gomez. No room in baseball for that. In interviews he makes it sound like he has done nothing wrong. He constantly showboats and runs his mouth then goes behind his team and hides. God I hate him

Gomez is notorious for this act. Monster hits? Didn't even make it out. I'm fine with Cole telling him save the showboating for the long homers, or not at all. Cole was not trying to even make a big deal out of it, as he was walking away back to the mound.
